Carlier’s presentation stands as an extension of her Cheap Dreams series, developed during her residency at La Becque in Switzerland. Works on view explore the ambivalence between imagination and conditioning, shifting away from strictly domestic interiors toward transitional environments, including waiting rooms, storefront displays, deserted commercial spaces, and sites of passage.
April 14 – 24, 2026THIRD BORN is pleased to participate in MEGA Art Fair, presenting the work of Frédérique Lucien and Roberto Barbosa. Both practices engage in dialogue through an acute sensitivity to materiality and to tensions between the intimate, the hidden, and the exposed: Roberto’s lilies convert botanical form into bodily, erotic ambiguity, while Lucien’s metal cut‑outs make absence and memory palpable. Together they unfold a sensory world where looking provokes tactile, bodily sensations and quiet, affective recognition.
April 09 – 12, 2026Sidony OʼNeal uses methods informed by both abstraction and devotion to think through contemporary systems—examining how objects, emotions, and information circulate, fragment, and reorganize. Working primarily with sculptural forms, OʼNeal creates precise configurations that reveal an attention to computation and philosophy while remaining deeply grounded in material presence, social complexity, and physical tension.
October 21 – 26, 2025THIRD BORN is pleased to present a solo booth by Jay Hur within the fair’s THIRD SPACE Section. The booth can be identified by Hur’s large aquatint etching, Chant,2025; an intricately printed composition on Hanji paper. Accompanying this piece is a diverse selection of oil-based works on canvas and panel, embellished with experimental mediums such as water-soluble soap, stamps, gold leaf, and sycamore tree seeds.
Oct 14 - 18, 2025Roma’s work is deeply rooted in dualities—the ephemeral and eternal, sacred and profane, virtual and physical. By reimagining historical and cultural iconography, he examines how societies construct and deconstruct meaning through symbols, rituals, and narratives. His practice interrogates the digital realm as a vertiginous space of spiritual longing, where notions of protection, divinity, and connection are simultaneously sought and destabilized.
May 7 – May 11, 2025Hur’s presentation spans her multidisciplinary practice, featuring painting, drawing, ceramics, and textiles—highlighting the delicate balance between materiality, the tangible, and the elusive. Through a thoughtful engagement with Korean and Western folk traditions, art history, and John Berger’s The Meaning of home, Hur’s presentation meditates on cycles of reflection and transformation.
