En Flujo (In Flux), an exhibition conceived as part of the gallery's inaugural curatorial residency. Curator in residence Anne-Laure Lemaitre brings together five artists whose practices challenge traditional notions of permanence in art, instead embracing transformation, dialogue, and evolution as core principles.
Including works by Lesley-Anne Cao, Amorelle Jacox, Veronica Lazo, Sami E. Nicolle, and Ada Potter, En Flujo (In Flux) is designed as a porous, living experience in which artworks evolve, move, and change throughout the duration of the exhibition. In a radical departure from conventional exhibition formats, the show will not remain static—works may transform, new artists may be added, and the exhibition itself will respond to its environment and viewers.
"In a moment defined by displacement, instability, and the unraveling of old orders, why should art remain rigid?" asks curator Anne-Laure Lemaitre. "Art can live. It can evolve, change, exist away from fixed, antiquated paradigms."
The exhibition opens the start of Lemaitre's month-long residency in Mexico City, a period of deep reflection on what it means to dwell somewhere temporarily, to arrive with intention, and to contribute rather than extract. Drawing parallels between artistic practice and contemporary experiences of migration, relocation, and uncertainty, En Flujo (In Flux) proposes impermanence not as a lack, but as a condition rich with possibility.
The participating artists—working across Mexico City, Manila, and New York—share a rigorous conceptual grounding and an interest in art as dialogue with space, time, environment, and living systems. Their practices resonate with the complexities of cities shaped by waves of migration, displacement, gentrification, and resilience.
In times of profound change, Lemaitre suggests, the most honest thing art can do is change too.
