THIRD BORN is proud to present All that you touch, you Change. All that you Change, Changes you. a solo exhibition by Anna de Castro Barbosa, exhibiting a series of works made during her gallery residency.
Exploring how forms negotiate distance, contact, and space, All that you touch, you Change. All that you Change, Changes you. unfolds objects that constantly oscillate between attraction and withdrawal, embodying a tension between the desire for contact and caution. Each form engages with the absence of a referential body, requiring constant reestablishment of points of reference while maintaining a deliberate sense of distance — as if the gesture is being calibrated within the space between.
A resemblance, in this context, becomes a form of contact, suggesting subtle exchanges that challenge our notions of proximity and recognition.

“During these months in Mexico, I encountered rhythms and spaces that shifted how I inhabit and orient myself. The residency extended this experience: the gallery became a body, where every gesture, volume, and threshold was tested and measured. To create there was to inhabit, and to inhabit meant producing from an acute attention to distances and thresholds, where contact is negotiated and form defines itself within gaps and tension.ˮ
